InterCapital – the newest RESC member

InterCapital is a leading independent investment house operating since 2001, providing comprehensive, sophisticated, and personalized financial solutions to the most important regional institutional investors, corporations, and individual investors. Recently, InterCapital became the newest member of RESC. The membership came as a natural continuation of the work of InterCapital, a company that was recognized by international investors as a leading financial advisor in the segment of renewable energy sources.

˝We believe that InterCapital can contribute to the development of RES projects through expertise in financial consulting on a wide network of international investors who have expressed a strong interest in investments and strategic partnerships in Croatia, and we recognized RESC as a unique platform that enables the synergy of all its members. We believe that RESC, with its proactive approach and coordination of all relevant stakeholders, greatly contributes to a faster and better green transition in Croatia and can to be a driver of innovation at the regional level in its sector. We are especially proud of the projects in the biomass cogeneration segment, where we put Croatia on the investment map of Europe in that segment and attracted numerous international investors who are interested in investing in all renewable sources (wind, sun, biogas) regardless of that, they were about greenfield or brownfield investment˝, says Andrej Erjavec, a partner in the investment house InterCapital.

Strong interest in investments in renewable energy sources

The growth of investment in renewable energy sources has no alternative, and InterCapital believes that it is one of the main drivers of economic growth in the next twenty years. In today’s times of volatility in the electricity market and the EU plan to reduce dependence on natural gas, they are convinced that Croatia has the potential to become a leader, not only at the regional level but also at the EU level in the capacity of renewable energy sources.

Maja Pokrovac, director of RESC, emphasizes this potential, emphasizes:

Renewable energy sources are our future, a matter of public interest and energy security. RESC continuously emphasizes in its public activities with the aim of initiating social changes that lead in this direction. For stronger growth in OIE, the active involvement of all stakeholders is necessary, and that is why joining of InterCapital is extremely important. They are the first financial institution to join RESC, which shows that they recognize the importance of developing renewable energy sources and the key role of financial institutions in the development of this sector. InterCapital’s knowledge and proactivity will contribute to the quality of our work and better positioning of the sector.”

Continuous investment in knowledge

InterCapital as a group listed the first ETFs on the Zagreb and Ljubljana Stock Exchanges. The company continuously introduces and implements new financial products and knowledge as well as sophisticated international quality standards, and the activities performed by this investment house are numerous.

When making decisions, this socially responsible company takes into account social issues that affect clients, employees, and society as a whole, which is an important part of the company’s strategy. Long-term sustainability is thus integrated into the business model and is the driving force behind the creation and maintenance of value for all involved parties.
