Croatia and Slovakia Take a Joint Step Toward the Energy Transition
RES Croatia and the Croatian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
A memorandum of cooperation was signed today in Zagreb between Renewable Energy Sources of Croatia (RES Croatia) and the Croatian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (CHSOK). This step marks the beginning of a partnership aimed at strengthening international economic dialogue, promoting renewable energy sources, and jointly encouraging sustainable development and investments in the energy sector.
The memorandum was signed by representatives of both organizations, accompanied by a joint message emphasizing the importance of connecting markets, experiences, and knowledge to accelerate the energy transition in both Croatia and Slovakia.
The cooperation will focus on organizing business events, promoting joint initiatives, and connecting companies and investors in the field of renewable energy sources and related sectors. This opens up additional opportunities for Croatian and Slovak companies seeking to develop sustainable projects and strengthen their international presence.
“We are pleased that through this cooperation we will further open the door to the international business community and, together with the Croatian-Slovak Chamber, promote the opportunities offered by the renewable energy sector. We believe that the synergy between industry, economy, and international partners can be a strong driver of change”, said Maja Pokrovac, Director of RES Croatia, on the occasion of signing the memorandum.
“This cooperation brings added value to all our members, especially those active in the fields of energy and renewable energy sources. The collaboration began back in September last year, and with today’s formal signing, we are opening the door to a deeper partnership”, highlighted CHSOK President Mario Gržinić.

About RES Croatia
Renewable Energy Sources of Croatia (RES Croatia) brings together energy companies and experts from the renewable energy sector, acting as a strategic think tank for the development of green energy. Its goal is to position domestic energy production from renewable sources as a sustainable economic branch and to ensure social support for the transition to clean energy. RES Croatia promotes innovative models that connect industry, entrepreneurship, and citizens – through local production, agrivoltaics and aquavoltaics, energy communities, virtual power plants, industrial zones, and energy storage systems – in order to develop sustainable and affordable energy models.
