Investments in wind energy projects in South-East Europe are exceptionally low while the development of investors\u2019 confidence has been lagging due to macro economic data. Only 1 billion EUR has been invested in the region out of a total of 26.7 billion EUR invested in new wind farms in Europe, making it a share of only 4% in 2018, while a year earlier it amounted to 16%! It is therefore the right moment to review what has been achieved and deliberate on the impending steps on the joint road to fulfilling the European renewable energy goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that goal in mind and after last year\u2019s very well attended scientific-expert Days of Good Wind gathering RESC decided to broaden the circle of participants and organize on the occasion of Global Wind Day the first regional level conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the sponsorship of the Ministry of Environment and Energy and partner support of Wind Europe<\/strong>, present for the first time in Croatia through this event, the conference will gather the representatives of European and world institutions such as the International Agency for renewable energy sources, the European Commission, the Energy Community, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Financial Corporation, World Bank as well as the representatives of ministries and financial sectors from the region, turbine producers, electric power producers, representatives of the academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main talks will include panels on wind energy in Europe with emphasis on South-East Europe, wind farms and environmental protection, including trends in corporative agreements on the direct purchase of wind produced electric power, present and future investments in wind farms in SE Europe, implementation and financing of wind energy projects in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
