The development of technology with the aim of achieving greater efficiency and environmental protection is in constant progress. There is also a growing market where corporate contracts for the direct purchase of wind generated electricity are increasingly common. Changes are also evident in the financial sector for wind farm investments. Since 2017, EU Member States are obliged to launch competitive bidding mechanisms, such as auctions for Feed-in-Premiums, as laid down in EU state aid guidelines, which is crucial for industry development since it enables the realization of long-term investments, infrastructure, skills development and innovation. All these, through the prism of the Green Deal, are indispensable steps in Europe’s green transition and development. Croatia has set a 36.4% RES target in its National Energy and Climate Plan, and while holding the EU Council presidency, it has the additional motivation and responsibility to move towards achieving it, thus encouraging countries in the region to achieve their RES goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join us in Dubrovnik for the Days of Good Wind conference!
